Free and open pre-accelerator

The Atlas program is designed for efficiency and speed – with practical and actionable advice.

Atlas starts off with a free and open 4-week pre-accelerator. During this explorative cycle, we aim to help founders refine their initial ideas and conduct market research. The end goal is to understand the market, identify the competitive landscape and validate the actual demand for your product. We will also get into fundraising, talking about which avenues you might go down in your quest for raising the initial capital.

The pre-accelerator culminates in a video application pitch – where the most promising startups receive funding and level up to the 12-week accelerator program.

Fast-tracking your startup adventure.

The Atlas 4-month accelerator program is designed to kickstart and maximize the potential of your startup from the moment you embark on your entrepreneurial journey.

We are hands-on and supportive around every aspect of the business, from product development to marketing and sales. We provide resources, mentorship and the network necessary to transform concepts into successful businesses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of startups are you looking for?

We focus on early-stage startups that aim to leverage technology (mainly software) to scale. If you have an innovative idea and are committed to turning it into a successful business, we want to hear from you. All founders are welcome to our free and open 4-week pre-accelerator.

Is there any upfront investments or fees involved?

Yes, we invest up to NOK 150,000 in cash, in addition to services worth 200,000+ for 4% of your company. No program fees, but you have to cover costs for travel and accomodation to the 3 physical gatherings during the program.

When is the program?

The pre-accelerator starts on February 24th, and the accelerator program will start in March, ending with a Demo Day in June. The program includes 7 virtual workshops and 3 physical gatherings over two days in Bergen, Stavanger and Oslo, in addition to weekly follow ups with a dedicated business developer.

How many startups do you accept per cohort?

We accept a limited number of startups per cohort, typically around 10 startups. This allows us to provide personalized and intensive support to each company.

How can I apply to the program?

You can apply through our website by filling out the application form. The first month is a pre-accelerator that is free and open to everyone that applies (no strings attached). And the most promising startups will receive funding and get into the 3-month accelerator program. More information will be sent to your email address before the program starts.

What makes your program different from other accelerators?

Our program is very hands-on and tailored to the specific needs of early-stage startups. We focus on rapid validation, MVP development, and getting paying customers. With our extended network, we aim to provide relevant value from day one, ensuring that you are on the fastest path to success. You will get fewer “Here is how I built a unicorn 10 years ago”-monologues - and more actionable insight, sparring with people who still got their hands dirty in the startup space.

Will I have access to office space?

The pre-accelerator is 100% remote, and the accelerator program is mainly remote, with 3 physical gatherings (in Norway); but we offer the necessary tools to ensure you can fully engage in the program from anywhere.

What language is the program in?

The program is mainly in Norwegian, with some English-speaking guests.

Atlas is dedicated to helping Norway's brightest entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful startups. We focus on early-stage founders who are ready to make an impact – with a focus on product development, go-to-market strategy, marketing and growth.

Why Atlas?

The word “Atlas” means a book of maps or charts. The name holds many interesting parallels to the startup journey itself. As is the case for any adventure worth going on, you set out to reach a destination, and try to figure out the most efficient ways of getting there.

At Atlas, we want to make sure that your quest starts out in the best possible way – along with fellow travelers and guides who just might make the adventure more enjoyable. We don’t have all the answers, but we are fellow explorers with many startup adventures under our belt.

Still, life happens – and sometimes, you might find that the journey takes you in surprising directions. Some of them prove to be even better than what was planned.
